| 内容記述 | 近年，携帯電話上でのメール(携帯メール〕によるコミュニケーションが一般化するに伴い， メール上での感情表現のための顔文字の使用もまた一般化している。本研究では顔文字自体が表す感 情，強調を調べることにより顔文字のデータベースを作成することを目的とする。顔文字が有する文 脈依存性を鑑み，“との感情を表しているか"という観点ではなく，“それぞれの感情をどの程度表し ているか"という観点から，顔文字が表す感情についてのデータベースを作成した。またこれに加え て，当該顔文字が“どの程度文章を強調するか"という強調度についてもデータベース化した。 調査対象として 31 個の顔文字が選択された。調査参加者には，喜び・哀しさ・怒り・楽しさ・焦り・ 驚きのそれぞれの感情ごとに 1 (全く表れていない)から 5 (とてもよく表れている)までの 5 段階で， 強調度については 1 (全く強調されない)から 5 (とても強調される)までの 5 段階で各顔文字に対す る評定を行うことが求められた。これらの結果は図 l および図 2 に示されている。本調査の結果は， 顔文字を対象とした心理学的調査を行う際の顔文字が表す感情に関する評価を提供する基準となる。 |

| 内容記述 | Being accompanied with the generalization of communications with E-mail on the cellular phone， the use of the emoticon for the expression of emotion on mail becomes popular recent years. The purpose of this research was to develop a normative table for emotions and the emphasis expressed by Japanese emoticon. Considering the context dependency of emoticon， in this study， the research was conducted from the viewpoint “How much is each emotion expressed?" instead of “Which emotion is expressed by this emoticon?". Moreover， the emphasis level of each emoticon is investigated by asking “How much a sentence is emphasized by adding this emoticon?". Thirty-one Japanese emotiocons were selected for the study. Participants were asked to rate the degree of six emotions: pleasure， sadness， anger， happiness， haste， and the surprise expressed by each emoticon with five-pointed scale from 1 (not expressed at all) to 5 (highly expressed) and to rate the emphasis level of each emoticon with five-pointed scale from 1 (not emphasized at all) to 5 (highly emphasized). These results are shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2. This table may be employed to provide normative emotion for experimental and re- search studies concerning Japanese emoticons. |
