| 内容記述 | 1900 年代初期の社会背景からデザイン史を読み解くシリーズの10 稿目である。今稿ではビロード革命まで旧体制に阻まれ存在感が希薄であった中欧のモダン住宅事情を観察する。世紀転換期にまずウィーンで結実した前世紀の革新デザイン運動は、旧ハプスブルク帝国構成員のドイツ語文化圏が1 つの核になり、これを牽引することになる。この時期に特徴的な、モダン啓蒙イベントである住宅博もこの地域でこそ特に顕著であった。ここから次世代のモダン住宅施主も誕生する。もとより10 年代からアールデコの一翼キュビズム建築も花開いていた。先進の企業城下町を創設した社主も登場する。しかし、ナチスそして戦後の社会体制がこれらを没収・放置・荒廃せしめることになる。旧体制崩壊後四半世紀を経過して、ようやくに研究・視察環境が整い始めた。これらの事例観察によって、建築やデザインの背景への奥深い理解を深めたい。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | This paper, 11th issue of the serial work, reports social and cultural circumstances surrounding the modern housing development in Central and Eastern Europe which has just been unveiled only after so called velvet revolutions in 1990’s. This area especially Czech, within German sphere of cultural influences, was entitled to one of the pioneers among the modern movements. A lot of housing exhibitions: educational activity toward modern dwelling for citizens, were frequently held in this small area. 2 of them are studied in this report; one is the 1929 WUWA EXHITION in Wroclaw and the other the BABA EXHITION in Prague. Here also came out an innovative minded corporate founder who brought an advanced life/work model town Zlin. The Nazis and following political structure, however, had made these contributions toward modernism black out. Behind the Iron Curtain there caused abandonment, devastation and oblivion on modernism heritages. Only after 1990’s study and inspection on private basis became available. As time passes since then some villas are open to public some are for commercial use. Considering these social influences on modern housing will furthermore the study of design history rather slanted to Western Europe up to now. | |||||||
