| 内容記述 | 本研究は、1700年代を中心に、1600年代中葉以降のフランス宮廷を中心とした欧州貴族の女性にみられる美意識を明らかにすることを目的とする。往時の女性に対する観察者の「美意識」については、図像資料や文献資料を基に論じた。文献資料からは、1600年代から1700年代初期までは、情感を表現する眼差しや表情を「美しい」としていたが、1700年代の中葉にかけて、次第に女性の外見に重きをおいた記述が増え、「豊かな胸」「見事な肩」「背が高い」などの外見的特徴が主な美の構成要素になっていく。 また、美しさを構成する要素は、「真直ぐ伸びた背中」、「高い胸」のデコルテと「なで肩」であり、それは、姿勢と体型に関係がみられることを、人体解剖学的見地より考察し、新しい視点を示唆した。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The objective of the study is to clarify the aesthetic sense of ladies of the French court from the mid-seventeenth to the eighteen century. Using literature and pictorial materials from that time, the change in the aesthetic sense of observers was studied. The documentary survey revealed that the definition of women's beauty from the 1600s to the early 1700s consisted of the emotional act of looking and facial aspect of sorrow. In the late 1700s, there was an increase in the number of writings that described women's beauty in terms of their bodies. Expressions such as ample bosom, square and sloping shoulders, tall, and straight back were commonly used in this literature. This indicates that the definition of beauty changed from aspects related to the mind to the outward appearance of the body and the artistic appeal of women's figures. Moreover, from the anatomical point of view, the bearing of the body and figure were considered to be related each other. | |||||||
