| 内容記述 | 本論の目的は、プロレスラーの身体装飾に着目することで、現代社会において「男性身体」がどのような状況におかれているのか、を見ることにある。そのことは、近代以降その覇権性を保ってきた男性中心主義が社会でどのような現状におかれているのか、を俯瞰することでもある。このことはジェンダー概念が、現代社会の構造を明らかにする上でどれほど有効性を保持しているのか、という一つの疑義を含んでいる。それはつまり、男性女性という二項対立を分析軸にした身体性の問題に対する疑義でもある。ジェンダー概念では分析しきれない身体性の在り様について、特に「男性身体」をテーマにして、論じていく。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of this paper is to study the status of the male body in modern society by focusing on the body adornments of professional wrestlers. Androcentrism remains a relevant issue even in modern times, and this paper studies the current extent of androcentrism, including doubts as to whether the concept of gender itself is socially valid. In other words, there is doubt about whether it is correct to say that the body has two clearlydefined sexes. The main point raised in this study is that it is impossible to completely analyze a body's state in terms of gender, with particular focus on the male body. First, this paper defines what is meant by body adornment. Next, body adornment of athletes is discussed, along with that of professional wrestlers. From this angle, this paper explores the meaning and characteristics of "the male body". Finally, it provides an overview of the status of the male body in modern society and summarizes the effectiveness of the concept of gender as an analytical method. | |||||||
