| 内容記述 | 子どもを狙った事件があいついだことにより,小学校の放課後の安全の確保が問題となり,放課後の子どもの居場所を確保しようとの政策が政府より提出された。本稿では,S地域における子どもの居場所作りに携わってきた活動経験をもとに,学童期の子どもにとっては,遊び場や勉強も必要であるが,なによりも「保育」の場が不可欠であるという問題意識を提示する。 学童期の「保育」は,安全の保証,生活の質の保障,ケアリングといった幼児期のそれと同様の質も求められる一方で,幼児期のそれとは異なる部分も見受けられる。それは,大人への依存から徐々に自立へと向かう時期において,大人に対して秘密をもつようになったり,仲間集団を準拠集団として重視するようになったりするこの時期の特性に深く関連している。 したがって,児童の放課後の居場所を作るにあたっては,幼児期とは様相を異にする学童期の「保育」に求められる質を提供することを念頭に置き,十分に専門性を有した指導員を配置することが重要となるのである。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Recently, children are falling victim to serious crimes. We are having difficulties creating secure places for elementary school pupils after school. This article, based on the author's own experience of making the after school in S area, will show that safe, dependable places of care for schoolchildren are indispensable. While acknowledging the similarities between preschoolers and elementary school students, the differences in the necessary environment and approach must be addressed. In this period, children become more independent and they come to have secrets and be conscious of their peer group. We must bear in mind that providing qualities are required for "care" for schoolchildren which are different from those for preschoolers. At the same time we have to assign instructors with professionalism fully to the space for the after school children. | |||||||
