Examine the appropriateness of the contents and materials of the subjects “Physical Expression(Physical Education)A and B”(required kindergarten and elementary teaching license subjects). 2. Through the students’ self-rating data such as goal-attainment evaluation on\nlearning goals for the class and estimate of their teaching skill development, verify the effectiveness of the class in nurturing practical leadership ability. On goal setting for Physical Expression(Physical Education) A and B, the understanding of the PE-specific field or theme,(mainly based on the MEXT’s national curri- culum guideline), and desirable attitudes and behavior as a teacher were considered. The extent of teaching\nskill development was estimated by a 35-item Teaching Skill Measurement Scale on Expressive Activities.\n\nThe analysis of the results of goal-attainment evaluation and their teaching skill development, found that in regard to attitudinal aspects, that levels of goal attainment were high in both Physical Expression A・B,\nbut there was a lack of understanding of PE-specific learning themes, leading to the conclusion that the suitability and appropriateness of lesson contents was inconclusive. On the other hand, statistical analysis of variances on levels’ change of Expressive Activities Teaching Skill Scale revealed a significant rise over the course of both the subjects of Physical Expression A and B, and at the conclusion of each class.
