A  detailed  approach explaining how  to determine  the reading level  of  the student, and  the type  of  readers that should be  used  in  the reading plan   is  explained in  detail.   The  paper shifts its focus  on  the strategies that are  used  in implementing an  extensive reading plan  to methods that encourage students in the program. This  is done  by  first explaining the advantage  of reading out loud  to students, and  then examining the pur- pose of motivating the students. Finally, this paper details the support and  encouragement needed  for an exten- sive reading plan  to succeed.
