The topic of this article is the impact of aging on the emergence of false memory. In this study, the Deese-Roediger   McDermott  Paradigm（ DRM  Paradigm ）, which  was  also  used  in  experiments  by  Kawakami（2003）, was used with adult participants（26  year  old to 62 year  old）and university student participants（18  year  old to 24  year  old）. The results and performance of these two groups were then compared.\nThe results showed that in the correct recall and recognition performance of the presented items, the uni- versity students performed higher than adult participants. Additionally, adult participants obtained a higher rate of false recall and recognition of related but non  presented words（critical lure words）than university students.
