However, there seems to be some cases in which it is wrongly used. This is caused by confusion of internal consistency with homogeneity or unidimensionality. One of purposes of this paper is to introduce some multidimensional methods to construct reliable scales and the method of constructing scales through the principle of factor-trueness. Another one is to argue that on the basis that factors are constructs respecively drawn from psychological data through factor analysis, so the scale with sufficient factorial validity can be said to have construct validity and the problem of reliability ultimately amounts to construct validity.
